1. How to pick the right foundation
   Using testers, blend two to three shades along your jawline. The skin's natural oil darkens the color of foundation so give it 20 minutes to settle. Walk around to do other shopping and come back after an hour to buy the shade that blends best.


2. How to clean up smudged eye make-up
   Dip a cotton bud in petroleum jelly and gently swab off the smudge. This way, you don't have to wash everything off and reapply. Do be careful to avoid direct contact with eyes.


3. How to apply blusher properly
   Smile! Then you can find the apples of your cheeks and apply blush to the apples or below, whichever you prefer. If you have to blend in blush, it's too bright.


4. How to clean the makeup brush
   To help keep the brushes clean after each use, simply wipe each brush back and forth over an inexpensive anti-bacterial wet wipe before putting them away.
