Choosing A Hair Colour That Suits You
Having a suitable hair colour helps brighten up your complexion and is likely to make you look younger too!

Olive Skin
Choose a hair colour that has violet or purple tones. Violet can counteract the yellowish hue on the skin.
Greenish Skin
Choose a hair colour that has reddish tones. Red can counteract the greenish hue on the skin.
Reddish Skin
You are one lucky person. People with reddish or pinkish skin suits almost any hair colour they fancy.

As a general rule...
  1. Warm colours for warm skin tone and cool colours for cool skin tone. Ask the stylist if you are unsure.
  2. Fair skinned people should go for hair colours with reddish tones.
  3. Dark skinned people should go for lighter colours with gold or yellow tones.

To cut or not to cut? Your face shape is definitely something to consider before you decide on your next hairstyle!

Oval
An oval face is the best shaped face. You can try almost any hairdo on you – long, short, curly, or straight! Go for layers near your chin or cheekbones so as to get attention on them. Avoid hair styles which will add volume to the top of your hair as it would result in making your face appear a lot longer.

Long
If your face is long or oblong, then you should try to create the appearance of more width to balance it out. Go for long, side swept bangs or chin length bobs, or curls and waves that will enhance your face. Avoid extreme lengths (very long or very shirt) as both will showcase the length of your face.

Square
If you have a square face that means you have an angular jaw. The trick is the keep the attention away from the jaws. Go for texture to your hair or with the help of short curls or long layers just below the jaw line. Avoid single length bob cuts or wearing bluntly cut bangs that will showcase the squareness of your face.

Round
Round faced people can take some of the width and bulk off by adding the illusion of some length. Go for a cut that is right below your chin or in gradual layers. Avoid short, single length or blunt hair cuts as they will grab attention to the roundness of your face.

Heart-shaped
People with heart shaped faces are considered to be pretty Valentines. But their pointed chin takes the attention away from their eyes. Go for side swept bangs, a fringe on your brow or long layers at the top to bring attention to eyes. Alternatively, let your hair grow and then have it done with layers that rush up to your cheek bones.

Do you know? For normal hair, each time one strand of hair falls off, 12 strands will be growing to replace it.
