9 Basic Rules To A Good Skin Care Regime

  1. Cleanse before going to bed. Residual traces of make-up can irritate your face, especially the skin around the eye area which is the most sensitive.
  2. Do not over-cleanse your face too many times in a day. Rinse the face with warm water first, massage the cleanser into the skin and then rinse well with cool water.
  3. Never pull or drag the skin when applying cleanser to the face. A good cleanser should make your face feel soft and clean, not dry and taut.
  4. Apply a gentle toner to the face using a cotton wool pad.
  5. Always use a moisturizer with proper SPF protection if you are heading outdoors in the day.
  6. Apply serum under your moisturizer if your skin feels very dry as it is quickly absorbed and hydrates the face without leaving a sticky feeling.
  7. An eye cream helps retain moisture on the skin around the eyes. Apply using the ring finger as it exerts less pressure on the eyes.
  8. Use a facial mist to refresh a tired face or to hydrate your skin while on the move.
  9. Exfoliate your skin once a week to remove dead, dull skin.

Do you know? Our skin sheds a layer of dead cells every 24 hours and renews itself about every 28 days.
