Guardian Singapore was established in 1972 as a pharmacy in Singapore. In 1981, Guardian Health & Beauty made our first foray into beauty when we opened a store at Jelita Shopping Centre in Singapore that sold beauty products. Since then, Guardian Health & Beauty has steadily branched out to offer a comprehensive and affordable range of health and beauty products and services.

Guardian Health & Beauty was the first to introduce a webcam pharmacy service in Singapore. Customers can consult with its pool of experienced pharmacists via high-definition audio and video web camera.
Patient Care Centres
Guardian Health & Beauty was also the first retail pharmacy to launch comprehensive and personalised patient counseling services through its patient care centres in Singapore. Services offered include blood pressure and blood glucose checks, chronic disease management and medication review.
2014 will mark the company’s innovative launch into the e-commerce sphere with a brand new online platform where customers can place orders and have their purchases delivered.
Guardian Health & Beauty continues to lead the digital charge with tablet usage across its entire store network and an electronic shelf-ticketing system that has already been implemented at multiple stores. The electronic system enables frequent price changes to be easily implemented, reducing the need for heavy-duty manpower.
Guardian Plus, the world’s largest Guardian Health & Beauty store, was launched in November 2013 at Singapore’s Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
The cutting-edge flagship store features a range of 20,000 health and beauty products, some of which are new and exclusive to Guardian Health & Beauty.
The store also has a dedicated team of four in-house Guardian Plus experts – a pharmacist, a dedicated nutritionist, a health adviser and a beauty adviser. All four are pharmacist-trained and can provide credible advice and customised assessments.
In addition, an explorative Play, Trial & Test area allows shoppers to sample the latest beauty products and bestsellers and try out innovative hair and skin analysis services.
The store’s multifunctional interactive area section includes two 46-inch touch screens, iPads and other tablets that educate and entertain shoppers about the latest promotions, rewards and product recommendations.
Guardian Health & Beauty features an award-winning team of pharmacists. Between 2011 and 2013. Guardian pharmacists were honoured with 11 pharmacists’ awards. One recent honoree is Melinda Chiew, who was awarded the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore’s Community Pharmacist of the Year Award 2013. This is the fourth consecutive year that a Guardian pharmacist has received this esteemed award.
Our dedicated pharmacists support many activities by the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore and the Health Promotion Board. In addition, they visit St Theresa’s Home every fortnight to conduct reviews of the residents’ medication.
