What is tennis elbow?
Tennis elbow is a condition that leads to pain on the outside of the elbow.
What causes it?
Tennis elbow results from the overuse of forearm muscles. Contrary to its name, tennis elbow does not only affect tennis players. It can also affect anyone who carries out repetitive movement involving certain forearm and wrist muscles over time.
How to prevent and treat it?
Performing proper stretching and warm-up routines before taking part in sporting activities is essential to avoid muscle injury that can lead to tennis elbow. Tennis elbow bands can also be wrapped around the elbow to provide support and pain relief.
In addition, pharmacy-only painkillers with anti-inflammatory effects may be taken to relieve discomfort. Do consult our friendly pharmacists for more advice.
